Question: Should I go to Lake Arrowhead or Big Bear Lake for July 4th?
Which one has the bigger fireworks display, accessibility, and activities for someone on a student budget?
Answer: Arrowhead has a small “village” area, but it’s really a locals place.
Big Bear is both a much larger lake and community, with 100x more things to do (okay, so maybe I’m exagerting a little – call it 43x

Big Bear Lake is home to many activities all year round. Big Bear Lake is Southern California ’s most popular mountain resort. Big Bear Lake is about 8,000 foot above sea level.

Swim beach is located at 41220 Meadow Park, Big Bear Lake, CA. The phone number of the Swim beach is 866-9700. Call that number for hours. Season passes are available for swim beach in Big Bear Lake. Lifeguards are in attendance.
Swimming pool and lessons are available through Park and Creation or at local summer camps. The Swim beach is closed when water levels are low.
