Big Bear Cabins Best Rate Part Three

How to get the best rate on Big Bear Cabins (cont…)

Any vacation spot, even Disneyland, has an obvious swell of traffic on the weekend, sometimes as many as 50% more visitors than it would mid-week, but the location of Big

Bear Lake makes this figure unique… It’s too far from the masses to be a 1-night or just an afternoon trip, whereas Disneyland is not. People who go to Big Bear are without a doubt staying in a room within the big bear valley, and usually for two nights.

What does this mean to you? HUGE Mid-week price reductions!

If you look at it mathematically, there is no value in Southern California like staying in Big Bear during the mid-week. Whereas Anaheim hotels might reduce their weekday rates near Disneyland by 20% for a Monday – Thursday night stay, Big Bear Cabins and Hotels regularly offer mid-week stays in the range of 50% off!

I have personally used this trick in several of the better cabins, hotels, and chalets in Big Bear, and every time I stayed mid-week I found rates at 35% or better. My favorite cabins there, at the Knickerbocker Inn, once gave me a rate well over 50% off in the slow season. I could have stayed at home and spent more that week!

This is an extremely easy way to take a first-class vacation at an affordable price.

If you, like so many Southern Californians have been putting off a Big Bear Cabin ski vacation, or have even been contemplating staying in a hotel there instead of a cabin, do yourself a favor and check out the mid-week rates on some of the nicer cabins and chalets. You’ll be glad you did.
