Big Bear Hotels Cheap

Question: Cheap snowing venture?
Can someone please give me tips on how to enjoy a trip to the mountains for snow related activities on a SUPER tight budget? I kinda don’t have a job right now but am about to go on break from school so I really want to go. Mind you, I have no snow equipment and this is the first time i have ever gone. We will most likely be going to Big Bear so any tips on cheap hotels, motels, cabins, etc would be great because we will be staying there for a night.
Answer: Honestly if you have no equipment and no money, I suggest doing something other than skiiing or snow activities. Rentals can get quite expensive, not to mention fees for skylift, hotels, food etc. Maybe you should postpone traveling until you get some money, unless you want to do a backpacking type venture where you are “playing it by ear”, as far as where you’ll stay etc. If you’re adventurous go for it.

Big Bear Lake Weather

Question: How is Sept & Oct at Big Bear Lake?
When is it to cold to swim in the lake? Is there a time in the fall when it gets rainy? Anything you can tell me about the normal weather in Sept and Oct will be very helpful.
