Question: Help with a public speaking assignment…PLEASE!!!!?
My first speech, an introduction speech, is due Monday. Today we prepared by interviewing a classmate. We have to take the info they gave us and write a 2-3 minute introductory speech. Easy, right? No, because our professor wants us to turn the facts into a funny, fairy tale type story. I’m not a creative writer. The guy I interviewed gave me the following facts:
He used to play little league; he was born missing a pectoral muscle; he loves his grandma’s house because it’s on a big, beautiful lake in the middle of the woods. His pet peeve is people spitting on the floor; favorite food is tacos; if he could be anything, he’d want to be a bear, but just a scary bear, not actually kill people. He likes hunting, fishing and boating. I don’t want anyone to write this for me, but if anyone has any ideas, PLEASE share them.
Answer: Hm… You could do a story about a little boy who dreamed of being a baseball player (little league) but couldn’t b/c he had a disorder (pec missing) caused by bad meat he ate in a taco once. He was so depressed, the only place he could find happiness was at his gma’s house. He’d walk around the lake, enjoy the woods, etc. *you could then tell a funny story about how he went fishing in his boat one day and he caught a mermaid or something dumb like that*
One day he got attacked by a cougar while hunting for dear and ever since then, he’s dreamed of being a bear so he could protect himself in the woods. He bought a bear suit and anytime he went into the woods, he put the suit on and felt invincible. Of course, he’d never hurt anyone but just wanted to be intimidating.
You could end the story by some hunter coming along and almost shooting him in his bear suit. He finally threw off his suit to persuade the hunter from shooting him and found out it was his gma

You’ll have to think of where to put the spitting part, haha
