Big Bear Ca Elevation

Question: How can I keep coyote’s and racoons away?
I have a pesky racoon who ate my outdoor fish, almost ate my turtle and got into it with my dog. I love the the animal but he need’s to move on or just know he’s not welcome anymore. I know I could use coyote urea but I’m afraid that might attract the many many coyote’s that live here too, and that would be dangerous to my dog who’s not as young as he used to be. Any help would be great!
ps I live in Big Bear Ca. wich is an alpine region about 7500′ elevation. The only thing I could think of was Wolf urea wich dont live up here…
Answer: There are different avenues of defense, such as contacting your local animal control office ,Dept of Fish and Wildlife, animal rescue groups, and or the 22 cal rifle. But please call one of the local groups before doing the 22 cal thing , use it as a last resort if no one wants to deal with your problem. They have a old saying here where I live and that is the 3 S’s, Shot, Shovel, and Shut up. Good luck
