Question: Good Hotels near Snow Summit in Big Bear Lakes,CA, Skiing Suggestions?

I want to know a nice hotel I can stay at for two nights with nice rooms but fairly cheap. I am going skiing there so it should be fairly close. I am also looking for a cheap place to get good food, even if it is a bit of a drive. We are making a skiing trip up there. Also, Anyone have any suggestions to beat crowds or duggestions in general. THANKS!!!!

Jim and Paula are the owners and are from Utah. The rooms have all been refurbished and the interior design is different in each room and they are all very cozy feeling. The rates depend on the room and also on the day of the week. (weekends vs weekdays). They have a rate during the week including a discounted lift ticket for Snow Summit, so best to just call and talk to them. You can see all the rooms on the web site. It’s close to the main part of town..lots of restaurants and they have all that info in the office. (menus, etc.) They are very helpful and are wonderful hosts. Don’t tell a lot of people about this place:} Toni
