Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest

Question: Snowboarding – Where is best snow (powder) to be found in March? California or Utah?

Looking to take a short vacation in the snow. Can either do California (Tahoe, Mammoth or Big Bear) or could go to Utah (Park City)… husband wants to snowboard for the first time, 3 yr old son has never been in the snow. We’ll need rentals too. Looking for recommendations.

Answer: Park City is awesome, the Canyons is a great place to learn snow boarding. I was in Tahoe last March and it was ok until a storm rolled in and then it was awesome. For the family environment, Park City is probably a little more favorable.
