Big Bear Campsites By the Lake
If you’re looking for an ideal campsite on the edge of a beautiful lake, Big Bear is the perfect setting. We have attempted here to compile a list of Big Bear campsites on the lake, and they range from small single-family sites all the way up to large 112-site RV parks. All are patrolled quite frequently by a big bear park ranger. Whatever type of campsite setting you’re seeking, Big Bear Lake has it!
There are currently 264 Big Bear campsites at the four largest lakeside campgrounds. (not to mention another 246 nearby in Big Bear that are not facing the lake!) The four major campgrounds are:
Big Pine flat hosts 19 campsites
Hanna Flat has 86
Pineknot has 86, and
Serrano campground on the north shore has an impressive 112 campsites, with full hookups for many RVs. (Including waste hookups.)
The number of smaller campsites facing the shore would be very hard to count. Although the whole rim of the lake is patrolled by rangers as often as every 20 minutes in many places, there are many popular campsites on the shore that are not posted as such.
Happy camping!
