Big Bear Camping

Question: Going Camping and need info on do’s and don’ts in regards to BEARS…..Can You Help?
We are going camping next week in the Big Bear Mountians of California. A friend of mine has freaked me out with all of these stories about bears coming in the camp grounds and causing trouble…………..
Any info will help……….like what has to be put away and what can stay out.
Thank You in advance
Answer: Most California state camp grounds where there is a population of bears….have bear boxes….USE THEM.
I have seen the results of stuff locked up in a car, as mentioned before DO NOT LOCKE any food products up in your car….anywhere.
Make sure your camp site is clean and all cooking material has been cleaned up real good, and everything deposed of PROPERLY this means using the bear proof trash cans as well as the bear proof storage boxes.
If you have a doubt in your mind, do it again to make sure.
Bears have a keen sense of smell.
DO NOT LEAVE any fish remains, grease, etc. or the smell of fish around the camp… Your big concern with the bears is going to be at night not that much so during the day time.
Where ever you go stop by the ranger station, and pick up the literature on bear prevention or camping with bears.
They will have some kind of information for all campers, IF there is a problem with bears.
You can also click this link and it should give you plenty of reading material http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GFRC_enUS205US205&q=camping+%26+bears

Question: I’m 17 & starting a job with lots of client contact & I want to look professional. What to wear?
This may be a little long, please bear with me. Any ideas on where I can find clothing that’s age appropriate but looks professional? I’m seventeen and like to look clean, classy and pulled together. My budget isn’t real lax but I’m willing to spend a little more for quality. I’m thinking along the lines of button downs with a cami peaking out underneath and maybe a halter vest. Pencil skirts, dressy/professional bermudas, fun heels and short sleeve blazers are ideas I’ve worked with and like, just need to expand and get more of these and others. Thank you to anyone who took all the time to read this, and even bigger thank you to anyone who answers!
I work at a restaurant, resort, spa and hotel, but the dress is professional, no uniforms or embroidered polos
Answer: Hi, I’m glad you are starting a new job.
My advice is: follow your Employer’s Dressing Code & you will be alright. I say this because some companies don’t let you wear shorts, bermudas, minis, sleeveless tops, or too revealing outfits, boots, sandals, jeans, etc…
I used to go to Express, Limited, Gap to get professional clothes, but now I think they are kind of expensive(unless they are on sale). Nowadays, I go to N.Y. & Co., Target, Old Navy, Forever 21 & sometimes Ross(rarely find good quality items).
Once you know what you can wear, go to the above stores and go to work sections and you’ll find things like prof. items like 2 pc. suits-if too expensive, buy at least a couple of pants(black & beige colors always go well with other colors) and wear them with a prof. shirt, sweater, blouse, tops, or prof. skirts w. those. Try to stay away from “too fancy”-maybe a small item, such as multi-color-belt or scarf or a plain top w/ a printed skirt or vice-versa.
Hope you’ll look great and professional
