Question: Cheapest ski rentals in Big Bear Ca?
First time going up to big bear, not sure what ski resort i will be staying next to. if anyone could help it will greatly be appreciated thanks

Answer: Cheapest rentals in Big Bear? Sport Chalet closest to where you live. You save a LOT of money by renting down here. Better equipment (less wear, tear, and abuse), fair prices, easy return, and less pressure when getting fitted. If you rent up at Big Bear, they tend to rush you, depending on where you go. The ski resort itself pretty much has an assembly line mentality, just trying to get you out the door as quickly as possible.
A one day rental of skis, boots, and poles is $25, $18 per additional day. And they have a relaxed return policy. I’ve gone on a Thursday night for a 2-day rental, and they tell me to bring it back Monday or Tuesday. It’s such good service, I recommend it to anyone. They know their stuff, and those folks are skiiers themselves.
As for the resort, I also recommend Snow Summit. Especially since Snow Summit & Bear Mountain are all owned by one company. You can shuttle over to the other mountain if one is too crowded, or you want a change of venue.
